The
South of Brazil differs much from the remainder of the country
, a quite different image which one has of Brazil. Here, the
palm trees yield the step in front of the pine forests, the
green mountains are dug quiet valleys, nature is strewn with
falls of water and monumental canyons, and the climate resembles
that of the European latitudes much, with four seasons quite
distinct and from occasional snow in winter.
People are different. The fair ones with the blue eyes replace
the faces with the more matt skin of North and the North-East,
revealing deep European roots. The south is the traditional
pantry, as well as the principal agricultural producer of

approximately 2h). The way of railroad goes down from 900m
up to the sea level, the way makes it possible to discover
superb sights on the dense tangle of the drill, intersected
that and there with cascades. The principal attraction of
the area is Ilha C Mel, a paradisiac island.
The island is a reserve natural, strewn with small basins
with clear water, deserted caves and beaches. It also shelters
the ruins of a fort built to the 18 3rd century as well
as a dating headlight, him the 19 3rd century. There are
no cars, one moves there only with foot or in boat. Its
virgin nature (no hotel was still built) attracts many campers.

settings in scene of planet. The imposing site is spread
slightly in arc of circle on nearly 5 km. Water of the 275
cataracts flows in the Iguaçú river 72 m lower
(the falls of the Niagara reach, they, only 56m). The falls
of Iguaçú form part of a national park of
the same name, divided between Brazil and Argentina. This
park of more than 170.000 ha does not have anything to envy
luxuriant the drill Amazonian.

kilometers of beaches.
The small town of Florianopolis is located in major part
on the islands of Santa Catarina and does not count less
than 42 beaches to it only. The restaurants and the bars
abound there, some of first category. The beaches of the
south of the island are most beautiful but also the least
accessible, they will surprise by their peace. Florianopolis
is a relaxed city where the life is articulated around simple
pleasures: bathe, sun and restaurants.

culture gaucho is the distinctive sign of this state.
Rio Large east the first Brazilian producer of articles
leather, as well as wine. Moreover, the large herds of bovines
and sheep provide wool and meat to the remainder of the
country.
The landscapes of Rio Grande C sul are hard. The beaches
of the littoral, length 200 km are bordered by rock escarpments
and cliffs. Most beautiful are close to Torres. With a few
kilometers inside the ground is Tightened it Gaúcha,

park of Aparados da Serra, one of last the drills of pines
of the country, where certain trees can reach 50m height.
In the west of Serra Gaúcha extends the area from
the missions. To the 17 3rd century, the Jesuits built missions
around whose were organized Indian villages. In 1756, the
missions were attacked and overcome by the slave ones. Today,
the ruins of these missions rise solitary in the plain.
The mission of São Miguel proposes each evening a
very beautiful spectacle "its and light" which
recalls the history of the area.

in 1742, makes it possible to the visitors to discover the
dances and the traditional musics of the gauchos in many
bars and folk restaurants. With nearly a million and half
of inhabitants, Pôrto Alegre is the largest city of
the south.

Alegre counts many shops of leather articles and excellent
restaurants where Brazilian truth churrasco is served.
